Jonathan - (runs away)

M (upon his return) - "What's Daddy's name?"

J - "I'm hiding."

Andrew - "Dada!!"

M - "Where does Daddy live?"

J (jumping up and down) - "Marble Street!"

M - "How old is Daddy?"

J - "Three. Andrew is 1. You are 3."

M - "What does Daddy do every day?"

J - "Sell Subarus at the Subaru store."

M - "What do you like to do with Daddy?"

J (as he drives his car across the floor) - "Go to the Subaru store and see Subarus."

M - "What do you like to do with Daddy at home?"

J - "Name cars."

M - "What funny words does Daddy say?"

J - "Eye. Andew, can you say eye?"..... "Andew, can you say eye?".... "Andew, can you say eye?"

A - "Eye."

M - "What does Daddy say to Mama?"

J - "Kiss."

M - "What does Daddy say to Andrew?"

J - "Ah-da!"

M - "What kind of car does Daddy have?"

J - "Subaru!!! Here comes Daddy!!"

M - "Do you love Daddy?"

J - "YES!!!!"

Last night before bed, while talking about the day...

Mama - "Did you have a good day, buddy?"

Jonathan - "Yep. Sawed the animals at the pet store. The cats and the dogs and the kitty cats and some kitty cats were sweeping and some were saying 'meow, meow, meow!'"

M - "That was fun. And you got to talk to Grandpa and Grandma Swaim tonight, too."

J (nodding his head) - "Yes." (Suddenly looking serious...) "Daddy called grandpa 'daddy', Mama."

M - "Yes. Grandpa is Daddy's daddy."

J (with wheels turning but looking slightly puzzled) - "Yes.??!.? And Daddy called grandma 'mama', Mama."

M - "Yes. Grandma is Daddy's mama. Someday we'll explain all of that to you."

J (?????!?!??) - "Yes."

Quotable Conversations - Reading the Cars

On the one non-rainy day last week...while out for a walk...

Jonathan (pointing to the license plate on a Chevy) - "Look, Mama. That car has letters."

Mama - "Yep. Do you know what they are?"

J (going from right to left) - "7....9....3....2...." (Stops to ponder what letter the PA keystone might be.) "What's that, Mama?"

M - "Keystone."

J - "Keystone....G....E....K."

M - "Good job, buddy!"

J (proudly) - "That says Chevy, Mama!!"

Last week we goed to Grandpa and Grandma Hebrew's house.

We pwayed...

And pwayed some more...

And helped Grandma on the computer...

And helped Grandpa with the wawn mower...

And ate lots and lots and lots of yummy food...

And I love blueberry pie...

And, yep, that's a spoon in my hand. If Mama puts something on it, I can get it into my mouth. I think that's a good thing to do...Daddy and Mama do that. And sometimes Jonathan does too.


Now, if I could only figure out how to get these cans open...!!

ps...Mama said I should tell you that I like to eat other things too. Mama calls them the good things. You know, bananas, apples, peaches, watermelon, veggies (well, sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't), yogurt, and ice cream.

What, Mama? Ice cream isn't one of the "good" ones??!?

Guess where they took me last week....

'Nuff said.

Well, just one more thing...Jonathan went too. 'Cept when he was done sitting in that big chair the lady gave him something on a stick.

And he got to put it in his mouth and eat it.

And I heard him tell Daddy that it was yummy.

I didn't get a thing on a stick.

And I didn't even cry when they put me up in that big chair and the lady made snippy noises around my head with those shiny sharp things.

Ok, so maybe I did cry. Just a little bit. And only at the end.
